Summary: | The Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency (DHA), has a requirement for Medical Q-Coded Support and Services – Next Generation (MQS2-NG). |
Requirements: | The contractor shall provide services to meet the following:
|
Background: | The Defense Health Agency (DHA) supports the delivery of clinical and medical support services within the Military Health System (MHS) by administering and managing two strategic contracts designed to supplement the staff in DOD medical and dental facilities. For the most part, these two strategic contracts, which are Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Multiple Award Contracts (MACs), relied on vendors to provide healthcare staffing services at individual medical and dental facilities, which is the predominant method used to contract for health care services.
The types of services acquired are listed as Q services in the Product Service Code (PSC) manual. These services include the professional medical (clinical) services such as ancillary, dental, physicians, and nurses as well as the medical support services such as appointing, auditing, clerical, coding, medical records, and transcription. |
