TX FLAP 200 1 Improvements Requirements

  • The primary objective of the proposed improvements is the reconstruction of East Jones Street and North Kealy Avenue existing roadway with Portland Concrete Cement Pavement (PCCP) in addition to widening will include a new bike lanes and new curb and gutter.
    • The proposed improvement to East Jones Street extends east from the intersection with North Cowan Avenue for approximately 0.5 miles to the LLELA entrance where East Jones Street terminates.
    • The proposed improvements to North Kealy Avenue extend north from the at grade crossing with the Kansas City Southern railroad tracks for approximately 0.35 miles to the LLELA entrance where North Kealy Avenue terminates.
  • This project intends to re-align the intersection of Jones Street and North Kealy Avenue to make a safer, less obstructed turning situation for drivers while staying within the existing City of Lewisville right-of-way.
