Ship Channel Area Improvements Requirements

  • The inner harbor PA’s under consideration for improvements are Suntide, 3A, 3B, and ½.
  • Work will consist of a 3-5 ft dike raise to IH PA ½ including outfall rehabilitation, culvert inspection and repair for IH PA 1/2; dike repair, culvert inspection, and dewatering for IH PA 3B; and dewatering and culvert inspection for IH PA 3A.
  • Contractor should demonstrate construction experience as a prime contractor working on dredged material placement areas.
  • Contractor should observe the typical wet conditions associated with dredged material placement areas.
  • Contractor should expect to use equipment with low ground pressure due to the soft/wet material in which the equipment will be operating.
