Replace Primary Substation Requirements

  • The Providence VAMC is procuring construction services to replace the existing outdoor utility substation with a new outdoor substation of adequate capacity to meet the future needs of the VAMC. The new substation should be constructed adjacent to the existing substation. The existing substation must be kept operational until the new substation has been fully commissioned and is supporting the campus loads. The new substation must be able to accommodate the existing load configuration plus have two fully functional extra circuit breakers for future needs. Substation functionality should match or exceed the existing substation.
