Requirements

  • The project is located in the Main Hospital, on the campus of the Birmingham VA Medical Center (BVAMC) located at 700 19th Street South, Birmingham, AL 35233. The hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient services to military veterans that live in north central Alabama and surrounding areas. The hospital currently provides 139 beds for inpatient care. The purpose of this construction project is to correct critical medical gas system deficiencies by replacing/upgrading aging equipment and controls. The contractor shall provide all required services for the completion of project 521-21-106, Replace/Upgrade Medical Gas System per contract drawings and specifications dated July 7, 2023. The project will include upgrades to the controls, mechanical, and electrical systems to ensure that the BVAMC can operate and maintain a reliable and efficient medical gas system. One or more of the items under this acquisition will likely be subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements.
