Requirements

  • Purchase and installation of twelve (12) hydraulic cylinders on the back-channel dam
  • Installation of a new network card in the control system to interface with cylinder sensors
  • Removal and disposal of the existing dam gate cylinders.
  • Removal of existing dam gate hydraulic cylinders, including disposal of hydraulic oil within the cylinders.
  • Cylinders measure approximately 35 feet long and 16 inches in diameter.
  • Furnishing and installation of new dam gate hydraulic cylinders built to the same geometric and flow/pressure constraints as the existing cylinders.
  • Removing existing ControlNET communication cards and replacing with new Ethernet/IP communication cards and media converters.
  • Furnishing and installation of new PLC processors and modifying the existing PLC and HMI programs to retain existing control functionality.
  • Furnishing and installation of new integrated cylinder position sensors and modification of existing control system to interface with them.
