Renovate Lake Nona Building Requirements

  • The Contractor shall provide all construction services including labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision as necessary to construct the project described herein and other specified tasks as further defined for this effort.
  • The construction shall be in accordance with the 100% design drawings and specifications for this project.
  • This project will expand the existing Emergency Department by repurposing the existing waiting area, two (2) triage rooms, and the adjacent support rooms into fourteen (14) new Fast Track treatment rooms, remodeling the current Bravo Unit into a new Observation Unit with ten (10) new observation rooms, and adding a new Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) unit on the roof of the waiting room expansion.
  • The Fast Track space is approximately 3,789 square feet (sf) and the Observation Unit has 4,659 sf. Both areas are located on the ground floor and are attached to and adjacent to the Emergency Department, respectively.
  • The HVAC unit work is located on the roof of the waiting room expansion, which is also located on the ground floor.
  • The contractor shall complete all construction work in accordance with construction documents in a manner that does not impact patient care at the facility. Normal operating hours for the clinic are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  • All temporary wall construction work is to be performed between 12:00 am to 7:00 am on weekends only (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
  • This project has three (3) phases of construction, in which the contractor shall start work in the fast-track area. The contractor shall refer to the construction drawing regarding the phasing plane.
