Requirements

  • The Solid-State Phased Array Radar System (SSPARS) program is comprised of six Geographically-Separated Units (GSU) in the Northern Hemisphere. There are four Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR) sites at the following locations: 6th Space Warning Squadron (SWS) at Cape Cod Space Force Station (SFS), MA; 7 SWS at Beale Air Force Base (AFB), CA; 12 SWS at Pituffik Space Base, Greenland, and 13 SWS/213 SWS at Clear SFS, AK.While radar operations are performed by military members assigned to the four GSUs, the contractor performs a radar operator/intelligence support mission at Beale AFB, CA and Cheyenne Mountain SFS, CO. Royal Air Force (RAF) Fylingdales, United Kingdom (UK) provides Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) support to the UEWR maintained by the United Kingdom contractor. The Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR) was added at Clear SFS, AK and is part of the SSPARS Program. It is a Solid State Phased Array S-Band, 2-faced radar, which is remotely operated at Beale AFB, CA and Cheyenne Mountain SFS, CO. A contractor performs operations and maintenance (O&M) of installation and site requirements in support of these missions. Combined, these sites provide missile warning, missile defense, and space surveillance capabilities in support of the Space Delta 4 missions.

    The SSPARS task order to be awarded will provide 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week (24/7) non-personal support services for all GSUs across the following broad missions and service areas:

    • Information management
    • Industrial, physical, and operational security
    • Services (dining facility and morale/welfare activities)
    • Vehicle and traffic management
    • Civil engineering
    • Environmental, occupational health, medical, and public health
    • Supply and fuels
    • Communications-electronics and network support
    • Military satellite communications

    • Mission computer maintenance
