Background

Located at Patuxent River, MarylandLakehurst, New Jersey; and Orlando, Florida; these facilities support research, development, test, evaluation, engineering and fleet support of Navy and Marine Corps air vehicle systems and trainers. The NAWCAD is the steward of the ranges, test facilities, laboratories, and aircraft necessary to support the Fleet’s acquisition requirements. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division provides a variety of services to the Department of Defense, other Federal agencies as well as non-Federal customers.

 The NAWCAD is one of two product centers within the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). NAVAIR, working with industry, delivers high quality, affordable products and support to the operating forces. Products and services include: aircraft, avionics, air-launched weapons, electronic warfare systems, cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, launch and arresting gear, training equipment and facilities, and all other equipment related to Navy and Marine Corps air power. NAVAIR provides total life cycle support of all naval aviation weapon systems including research, design, development, and engineering; acquisition; test and evaluation; training facilities and equipment; repair and modification; and in-service engineering and logistics support. As one of the three principal stakeholders in the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE), NAVAIR is responsible for development, acquisition, and life-cycle management for aviation systems.

Requirements

  • The NAWCAD WOLF Air Traffic Control & Landing Systems (ATC&LS) Division, operating under the organic Lead Systems Integrator® (oLSI®) model, is the platform integrator, In-Service Engineering Agent, and Software Support Activity for United States Marine Corps (USMC) future systems; Air Traffic Navigation, Integration, and Coordination System (ATNAVICS); Standard Terminal Automatic Replacement System (STARS); and other future and fielded Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems. The NAWCAD WOLF ATC&LS Division has a requirement to provide fleet support, supply support, technical support, systems improvement support, systems development support, systems test and evaluation support, operational software development and maintenance support, software development and maintenance test support, field change program support, production support, test bed support, and overhaul and restoration program support services.
