P1241 Radio Communication Background

This project constructs four (4) new steel lattice-type communication towers with support systems comprised of pipe mast legs, horizontal braces and diagonal braces acting in tension and compression with special foundation features including micro-pile foundations and pre-cast concrete structural footings. This project provides reinforced shallow concrete foundations for CONEX based communication and various supporting facilities.

P1241 Radio Communication Requirements

The Contractor shall:

  • Demolish some of the existing tower structures and supporting elements that have reached the end of their useful life and are being replaced by other towers included in this project.
  • Demolish the existing site photovoltaic (PV) systems that are being replaced by Government Furnished PV panels and batteries to be installed by this project.
  • Provides and installs concrete pads, mounting and weldment, OSP communication and power pathways for all Government Furnished Equipment or Property for a complete and usable system.
  • Provide Antiterrorism features and comply with applicable service and Geographic Combatant Commander policies and directive
