Background

The NGWSP is a major infrastructure project that once constructed, will convey a reliable municipal and industrial water supply from the San Juan River to the eastern section of the Navajo Nation, southwestern portion of the Jicarilla Apache Nation, and the city of Gallup, New Mexico via about 300 miles of pipeline, 19 pumping plants, and two water treatment plants.

Requirements

The principal components of work for Reach 1 include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Joint repairs for 4.8 miles of existing 42-inch ductile iron line pipe.
  • Line pipe blowoff valves and air valves replacements.
  • Manway installation.
  • Construction of standpipe at pipeline apex.
  • Construction of manually operated plunger valve
