MIIN 314572 Requirements

  • Project Scope (MIIN): Construction of new +/-2,500 SF metal frame Maintenance Building over concrete spread footings. Building includes metal framing, metal panel exterior wall and roof finishes, interior offices, a kitchenette, bathroom, equipment storage spaces, and workshop with park provided tools and equipment. New HVAC ducted system throughout. Electrical pole relocation and connection to new building including new transformer. Site drainage, paving, new septic tank, and new water well and chemical treatment tank for well water, teledata connections required. Also, demolition of the +/-1,600 SF Robison House which is currently being used as staff office space. The building is a single story wood framed structure with basement. Structure includes a brick chimney, plumbing fixtures, and interior partitions and finishes. Disconnection of all utilities required. FFE will be removed by Park prior to commencement of demolition.
  • Project Scope (HAFO): Work consists of installation of a new dry-pipe fire suppression system serving the existing Maintenance and Paleontology Lab Building. To serve the existing building (approximately 5,320 square feet), a new +/-323 SF pump house and 70,000 gallon water tank will be constructed. Finishes on the existing building will be repaired to the extent needed to facilitate new fire suppression. New pump house design is in keeping with the style and materiality of the existing building – slab on grade with wood frames walls, interior gypsum board finish with ceiling open to structure. Relocation of existing electrical line required. Work on existing septic tank is anticipated. New electrical meter, fire pump, and associated mechanical systems required. All interior work at existing building to be conducted with Park staff present. All fossils will remain in place in cabinets within areas of work. Cabinets to be covered with a 10 mil polyethylene tarp by Contractor. Shelves will be moved by NPS as needed. Park Curator will work with Contractor and be present during work
