Requirements

  • This project will provide construction of critical space that negatively impacts infection control and patient safety. This project constructs an addition to the existing building that will provide the requirements needed to meet infection control measures and provide for improved patient safety. The new sterile processing addition and NFS dock renovations will require 11,500 square feet of new construction and 1,500 square feet of renovation of an existing building.
  • The construction will include architectural, structural, mechanical, civil/site work, fire protection and detection, plumbing, electrical, low voltage data & security telecommunications, hospital systems and devices, any specialized equipment/utilities, and site modifications in accordance with the drawings and specifications provided.
  • The project scope will provide construction related services including labor, materials and equipment required to complete the project as per contract documents prepared by an independent ArchitectEngineer firm. The completed construction of the sterile processing addition and NFS dock renovations will satisfy all requirements assuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and VA/federal codes and guidelines.
  • It is the contractor’s responsibility to develop a work plan and a schedule detailing work procedures, equipment and materials, life safety measures, and the duration of work with milestone subtasks.
