Requirements

  • PMA-275 V-22 Osprey is an ACAT-1C Joint Program Office (JPO) under the Program Executive Officer Air, Assault, ASW & Special Mission Aircraft (PEO(A)). PMA-275 is responsible for developing, testing, evaluating, procuring, fielding and supporting a tilt rotor, Vertical/Short Take-off and Landing (V/STOL) aircraft for Joint Service application. The V-22 program is designed to provide an aircraft to meet the amphibious/vertical assault needs of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) with the MV-22. The strike rescue requirements and Carrier Onboard Delivery (COD) of the United States Navy (USN) are met with the CMV-22. Additionally, the platform meets the special operation needs of the United States Air Force (USAF) and the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) with the CV-22. The program supports an existing Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case with Japan, in addition to significant interest from a number of foreign countries in procuring V-22 aircraft and support systems. The V-22 is capable of flying over 2,100 nautical miles with a single refueling, giving the services the advantage of a V/STOL aircraft that can rapidly deploy to any location in the world. PMA-275 leverages Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), NAVAIR Field Activities, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), HX-21 V-22 Test Team, and Operational Test squadron VMX-22 to meet program objectives. This Statement of Work (SOW) supports domestic and foreign military sales (FMS)/international products.
