Construct Endoscopy Suite Requirements

  • The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supervision and perform all work necessary to construct approximately 15,000 sf, three level addition to the south of Building 34. Each of the three levels will have a 5,000-sf floor plate. The addition will facilitate support for the endoscopy suite surgical waiting and recovery spaces on the second floor. The first floor of the addition will be occupied by Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) including a Tier 3 Level MCR and the ground floor will be occupied by Bio-Medical Repair & Maintenance (Bio-Med). In addition to the already mentioned three levels, the contractor will also be responsible for the mechanical penthouse on the fourth level.
  • The construction of this project will take place in a very busy occupied building and is to be completed to allow medical care functions to be maintained uninterrupted throughout construction necessitating carefully phased construction and coordination with VA COR/users.
