Commercial Air Transportation Requirements

  • Provide aircraft, fuel, pilots, deicing, maintenance, and all materials necessary to provide the services
  • Possess a Part 135 or 121 Air Operator Certificate issued in accordance with Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR)
  • Possess a Safety Management System, accepted by the FAA, in accordance with Part 5 if a Part 121 certificate holder. Possess a voluntary Safety Management System, accepted by the FAA, in accordance with Part 5 if a Part 135 certificate holder.
  • . Have an accident/incident reporting policy that includes notification to the National Transportation Safety Board in accordance with 49 CFR Part 830.
  • Provide a fixed wing aircraft that:
    • Has the capacity to carry nineteen (19) passengers.
    • Has sufficient cargo capacity to store at least one overnight bag per passenger.
    • Is capable of flying the RT (ACY/ DCA) and have the ability to fly an additional thirty minutes (30) beyond this RT flight time to reach an alternate airport without refueling.
