Requirements

Provide expertise, technical support, and services to sustain and ensure the readiness of Rescue 21 Alaska and Vessel Traffic Service Valdez while increasing efficiency and effectiveness and reduce cost by emplacing, consolidating, and streamlining contractor provided Field Operations, Logistics, and Maintenance activities for R21 Alaska and VTS Alaska sites and systems. Efficiency and effectiveness are achieved by the following means:

  • Consolidating and streamlining:
    • Operations – processes and procedures
    • Logistics and supply operations including facilities
    • Maintenance Operations and opportunity to perform maintenance
    • Cross training, proficiency training, certification processes, and cross competencies of personnel
    • Enhanced safety practices while operating in remote & hazardous conditions
    • Emergency and Incident Management process efficiencies
  • Identifying and implementing means and mechanisms to:
    • Increase operational availability and quality surveillance
    • Increase longevity of systems
    • Enhance existing and future capabilities
  • Maintaining R21 AK and VTS AK automated data and information management system:
    • Sector Operational Mission Data
    • VTS AK Operational, Radar, AIS, Video Mission Data, Digital Voice Logger

    • Maintenance Data (in CGFIXIT and EAL)
    • Personnel and Site Administration data
